I think it’s referencing how there was always some big unusual political story going on. Trump was very unconventional as a president so he was always a big story in the news. Again though, the media usually blew it out of proportion.

Trump never said "a safe nation can't be an immigrant nation" he said "a nation without borders ceases to be a nation." Trump is 100% correct. and that is not anti-immigration. It's anti-illegal immigration.
