Arguing that Americans still subscribe to his vision of progressive change, President Barack Obama asserted in an interview recently he could have succeeded in this year's election if he was eligible to run.

"I am confident in this vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it," Obama told his former senior adviser David Axelrod in an interview for the "The Axe Files" podcast, produced by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and CNN.

"He said part of his post-presidential strategy would be developing young Democratic leaders -- including organizers, journalists and politicians -- who could galvanize voters behind a progressive agenda."

Journalists????? Pathetic but unfortunately not surprising.

But O is so cool! It would be fun to drink a beer with him!

(Sadly a lot of people vote that way.)

Nah. He would have lost. That's obvious now. This is just another example of liberal fragility. They have to tell themselves falsehoods to overcome their trump traumatic stress disorder.

Which really means if I can lie again and make people believe me I can win.

His whole political life is based on lies, misinformation, and deceit.

Hurry and leave already you narcissistic pos.

Clinton was 77,745 votes away from being our next President. Hillary "Lock Her Up" Clinton.

We got lucky.

Sanders, Biden, Warren, Obama, etc all would have had a better chance. Even Susan Rice.

With 2012 democratic turnout the republicans would have lost this election. It's not a stretch to say Obama would have drawn more voters than Hillary.

He may have, but that's not the point. Do you remember an outgoing president saying something like that in public?

It's all about me.

He's right. Campaigning for himself is the only thing he's good at.

Actually I don't think so, the Obamacare mess alone would have dented his chances. I really think folks wanted a change in DC, enough to be closer but still a Trump win...although the media would have been even more biased toward Obama than the far tilt they were towards Hillary.

There really hasn't been a comparable situation in a long long time. It is the truth though. Why do you care about defending Hillary's honor so much?
