The indictment is made up of contentions that have yet to be proven.
That is the reason there is a little thing called a trial so that these contentions can be proven or disproven. Since they have sworn testimony under oath from everyone that worked in the White House, former AG and former acting AG, Department of Homeland Security, his own campaign staff, various Republican state officials, the former VP as well as fake electors from multiple states it appears the government has a fairly strong case. In addition, the DOJ conviction rate at trial is over 99%, Trump might want to think seriously about a plea deal. From everything I have read, the DOJ will always give you the opportunity to plea but if you make them go to court and you lose, you are going to prison.
