I'm wondering if things are any different than they have always been, or if the Internet and explosion of social media are just bringing everything to light
It would take me months to gather through newspaper what I can absorb in 3 minutes of cruising this board. Not to mention I'm actually seeing opinions about and connections between articles not just the articles themselves. Also politicians' back and forth banter is recorded on twitter rather than face to face meetings that can only be reported on.

Anybody thinking Trump is going at this wrong and blind has not followed his campaign.

This. Has the media always colluded directly with the DNC for talking points and to provide cover for illicit activity? Have the intelligence agencies always been used by groups in power to do opposition research against political opposition? Have government officials always operated faie charities to use as slush funds for peddeling influence? Have the political parties always conspired with the media to rig election results? Have they always been in the business of murdering whistleblowers? Has the IRS always targeted individuals and businesses based on politic leanings? Was the government always spying on journalists to keep them on the plantation?

In October the Intelligence Community (NSA) -at the direction of President Obama- made a second request to the FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump. It was approved.
At around the same time (October), as the second request to FISA, (Def Sec) Ash Carter and (DNI) James Clapper tell President Obama to dump NSA Director Mike Rogers.
A week after the election, Mike Rogers makes a trip to Trump Tower without telling his superior, James Clapper; which brings about new calls (November media leaks to WaPo) for President Obama to dump Mike Rogers.
Occam’s Razor. NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers didn’t want to participate in the spying scheme (Clapper, Brennan, Etc.), which was the baseline for President Obama’s post presidency efforts to undermine Donald Trump and keep Trump from digging into the Obama labyrinth underlying his remaining loyalists. After the October spying operation went into effect, Rogers unknown loyalty was a risk to the Obama objective. 10 Days after the election Rogers travels to President-Elect Trump without notifying those who were involved in the intel scheme.
