Democrats have a sordid history of prosecuting political opponents under the legal theory of sedition. Woodrow Wilson did it to Eugene Debs and those who opposed our entry into WWI. Luckily Warren Harding commuted most of their sentences after winning the election of 1920. It's hilarious that people who fancied themselves as "the resistance" and "anti-fascists" now cheer on a two-decade sentence, handed down by a partisan judge after a show-trial, for someone who never even breached the Capitol.

Googling is not hard, but because it's for you...

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Some of the Kavanaugh protesters were arrested, given a recognizance bond immediately and then re-arrested, after being told by courts that if they were re-arrested they couldn't bond out until the following Monday.

What they did also fits the literal definition of seditious conspiracy, and yet you, Lakeboy7 and TGNF57 would be skyscreaming if the same rules were applied to them. This is the kind of conspicuous two-tiered justice system you'd expect in Nicaragua and Venezuela, and yet you're perfectly fine with it.

If that was seditious conspiracy, what the hell is this:

None of the images you showed had anything to do with interfering with the TRANSFER OF POWER.

It's like words have no meaning to you people outside of what you just want them to mean.

The definition of seditious conspiracy isn't limited to the transfer of power. Read the statute.

Apt comparison that highlights that literal nature of a conspiracy.

He’s had trouble with the nature of a conspiracy before. I keep having to remind him.

No the situations are not comparable in the least.

In one situation there is an actual possibility that the conspired crime could be successful.

In the other situation we have an impossible crime with zero chance of success.

It would be like you and I getting together and deciding to build a nuclear submarine to make war against the United States and getting prosecuted for that. No one would take that seriously.

Did we storm a submarine base and attempt to steal one?

I hate the right even more. The left tells you up front what they're going to do and they do it. The right is a bunch of spineless cowards who keep taking it and taking it but doing nothing about it. They must actually enjoy being cucks.

If we did we should be prosecuted for criminal trespass or criminal mischief etc.

Neither one of us know shite about operating a submarine and we sure as hell don't have the launch codes. Sedition would be a factually impossible crime.

Had Pence rejected the electoral votes from the questionable states there was a CHANCE it could have gone to a House delegation vote.
