NYC to become first city to directly fund abortions

The Hyde Ammendment prohibits tax money from being used to fund abortions, federal law superceded state and local laws
I'm thinking a concerned citizen might have a valid argument/lawsuit to prevent the city from using their tax dollars for this

The Hyde Amendment prohibits FEDERAL funds from being used to fund abortions. It says nothing about state and local funds.

POTUS thanks beacon NYC for the campaign cautionary tale to Evangelicals and moderates on the abortion issue in Florida, Ohio, NC, Pennsylvania and Virginia, especially since the presumptive nominee for the Democrat Party has recently decided the Hyde Amendment is NBD. Dumb frickers are to arrogant to understand that Kimchi is Cool in Brooklyn but deeply weird to voters in Robinsville, NC.

Unfortunately this is probably right. Abortion is a states right issue, not a federal one anyway (Roe needs to be overturned in my opinion). So New Yorkers should petition their state government on this. But they'd rather kill babies, so there's that problem...
