In a republic that believes in freedom and individual liberty such as ours, NO, we don’t think the government should take care of its people. That’s not their job.

1) an enormous percentage of Americans have govt funded healthcare
2) OECD nations primarily fund their universal system via high taxes on everyone, not “the rich”
