I mean, if we are assuming, then another assumption is that it could be related to gang violence in Sweden. Malmo, and specifically the night club scene, is the epicenter of two gangs, the K-Falangen, made up of Albanians, and the M-Falangen, made up of ethnic Bosniaks. Other Yugoslav immigrants to Sweden are also involved in gangs, and there was a gang war in 2001 between two rival gangs in Gothenberg.

My reasoning that this is gang-related is that it took place in a nightclub in Malmo, and that there are seemingly no videos of the assault, and no witnesses to it either. The victim described the assailant, according to one Swedish newspaper, as having a bodybuilders physique with dark hair, which, absent of other evidence, could indicate a gang affiliation. Given that much of the crime in Malmo is gang-affiliated, and this nightclub was hit with a grenade attack some months earlier, is strong evidence that the club itself was gang-affiliated.

I mean, in terms of color, Albanians and Bosniaks are pretty white. That there is a gang war in Sweden which has its history in conflicts in the Balkans, as indeed, many of the grenades used are weapons used in the 90's Balkwan Wars, is interesting by itself.

Ethnic Swedes seem to be apart of three gangs, primarily: The Brotherhood, Original Gangsters, and Naserligan, none of whom seem to have affiliates in Malmo, instead focusing on Gothenberg and Stockholm. The gangs that the Swedes seem to be apart of are multi-ethnic, with the Original Gangsters from Denmark, and Naserligan started by an Albanian.
