You’re right they should have referred to him as, Abdul El-Sayed, a candidate platformed and backed by Hamas sympathizer Hasan Piker, known for quotes such as, “America deserved 9/11”.

Dems did this to Bobby Jindal— very forcefully used his birth name (Piyush)
Republicans did this with Obama trying to emphasize the “Hussein” middle name.

I believe you’re right. Just lengthening his already Middle Eastern name isn’t going to change anyone’s mind.
