I understand what you are saying here, but I think that little disclaimer did allow for her to expand on her human element further, and considering the job she did today and is still doing, she is rocking it.

Kennedy has reenergized her, and also taken away much of the stress of the day. Quite the accomplishment. 
He enjoys playing the "everyman" role, but he's far from an everyman..Probably one of the 5 smartest people in the room, along with Cruz and Barrett (and I would probably add Lee and Hawley).

Someone said it earlier in the thread earlier today but she is also great at explaining constitutional interpretive canons in a layman's terms.

If expounding on her judicial philosophy opens her up to more cross examination tomorrow that's a good thing. That is what these hearings should be about. Not the nonsense that the Democrats have been peddling all day.

She's answering questions about legislative intent and making way statements boredering on opinions.
It's truly not worth it.

Democrats do not want to get this deep in the judicial philosophy with this woman, it would be a blood bath. Kennedy is super sharp and knows what he is talking about and she can run circles around him.
