Easy to see that you don't research any news.

Nice effort at damage control by the dumb school.

“They were only in the bathroom for two minutes.”

Uh, yeah. Boxing matches have three minute rounds.

Police bodycam video is out.

Girl who later died is telling officer that the girls who beat her were talking about her and her friends in the bathroom, so she went over to them and poured water on them. They came at her, she came at them, she threw one of them into a paper towel dispenser and then they got her on the ground and beat her until she blacked out. Her friends joined in at one point as well.

This was a fight between two groups of teenagers that this girl, by her own admission, started by pouring water on them. Doesn’t mean it was a fair fight, though she does mention it was 3 of them plus her and at least 2 friends, so it may have been 3 on 3. Doesn’t mean beating anyone unconscious is acceptable or that the girl deserved to die, though the preliminary ME info says the death wasn’t due to trauma.

It DOES mean the narrative that was painted in the media has been blown to hell.

Yeah it became clear this was what happened pretty early, but I'm glad they released the video so the dumbest among us can finally admit it to themselves.

ETA: It's weird that Dagny doesn't seem to care, at all, that her mom is referring to her as "she" and "her" in the video. Yet activists bullied her parents into apologizing for correctly gendering her on their gofundme. Because no way teens would claim to be "nonbinary" just because it's cool right?

this is what happens when parents stop teaching kids, "sticks and stones" and start preaching "words are literally violence".

She also says in the video that she didn’t know these girls at all until they all ended up in what I think is in school suspension? She was apparently there for a recent vaping incident. So the narrative that said that these girls had been bullying her all school year is also false, by her own words. She also says she didn’t report the bullying “for the way they dressed” to anyone at the school, just her mom.

So according to her, the bullying was about the way she and her friends dressed. Which… is what kids in school have been bullying each other about for time eternal.

A school staffer finally broke up the melee after Benedict, a straight A student, and a classmate were battered for an extended period — reportedly by three older female students.

so three girls beat up 1 girl and 1 boy? that sounds like a fair fight to me.

Family Member - "Why did they jump you?"

Nex - "They had been bullying me and my friends and I got tired of it so I poured some water on them and all 3 came after me."

She appears lucid in that exchange. And it now appears police are saying the death wasn’t the result of “trauma” and again reiterate they are awaiting the toxicology report. It increasingly appears this may be a suicide.

Police: Oklahoma nonbinary student's death after in-school fight 'not a result of trauma,”

Investigators in Owasso, Oklahoma, are investigating the death of a nonbinary student one day after a physical altercation with other students.

On Wednesday, Owasso Police shared an update on the ongoing investigation and noted that a complete autopsy was performed on the student by the medical examiner. Police said the autopsy did not indicate that the student died as a result of trauma.

"Preliminary information from the medical examiner's office is that a complete autopsy was performed and indicated that the decedent did not die as a result of trauma," Owasso police said in a statement on Facebook.

Owasso police noted, "Further comments on the cause of death are currently pending until toxicology results and other ancillary testing results are received." The official autopsy report will be released at a later date, police added.

The student's mother, Sue Benedict, told the news outlet that Nex and another student had gotten in a fight with three older girls in the bathroom. It is not yet clear if their gender identities had a role in the altercation…
