And there it is. Bar says he gives zero fricks about politics. Trump wants a credible AG (friends with Bob). Trump knows that he is cleared. This is an attempt to lessen the inevidible sky scream when the report is released.

Johnathan Carl has consulted with people on the Mueller team and he stated that don't get your expectations too high for a damning report against Trump.
I'll trust but would like to verify before believing Johnathan Carl but all the actions and behavior by Trump and the people around him intricate that Mueller will issue a report that will dash the left's collusion conspiracy.

Yeah. I think Trump realizes what a yuge mistake it was to appoint Sessions as a campaign favor and he needed to get someone in there who knows the job, can get it fixed, and will disarm congress.
Barr checks all those boxes.

You can tell by the way the narrative has shifted to "public statements made by Trump" that the SC is not expected to produce a smoking gun regarding Trump/Kremlin collusion. The fact that people are floating the "unwitting conspirator" further lets me know the SC will most likely have a report full of innuendo with no teeth

aaaand he stated he didn't think Bob would be involved in a witch hunt. Also has great respect for Rosenstein, and Sessions did the right thing by recusing himself.

But... Sessions also said he would take advice of counsel (so he recused ). Barr was explicitly asked if he would do the same, and he basically said no. He would consider their advice, but the decision is his.
He’s just trying to make sure he doesn’t burn any bridges.
