For the past several decades it seems I must hold my nose and vote for the least offensive candidate for POTUS. I think I had seen it all when we had to choose between Kerry and Bush jr. Both were Yale alumni and both were in Skull & Bones at Yale. Skull & Bones won that election no matter what the rest of us actually wanted.

Please pick 4 folks not on the radar for POTUS who would actually be a POTUS of the people.
(Please focus on folks currently under 65, and over 45)

A = ________________________ Best Republican
B = ________________________ Best Democrat
C = ________________________ Best Independent
D = ________________________ Best non political (like businessman or military)

So far ...

(2) Massie
(2) Paul
(1) Cruz
(1) Clean House

This is a tough one, but maybe Thomas Massie? He’s perhaps the only constitutionalist out there besides Rand Paul

My choice would be obvious here, but the key, IMO, is for all of us to look in the mirror. The person staring back at you is in charge of this nation.

If all of us would do more to take ownership of the nation, we would quickly come to such a level of disgust with the typical politician that we wouldn't vote for any of them. We'd get a new crop in there immediately. We can clean house in DC in just one cycle, if we would take ownership of the nation and stop clinging to party loyalty.

If we did that, we'd stop getting the phonies that run for office as they'd know that no one is going to tolerate their BS. We would end up with a better crop of people in each cycle and we could put an end to the spiraling free fall we're in.

Good pont

Met Rand in person

The first 5 mins you think he is a genius
The next 25 min you begin to wonder about him
After 1/2 an hour you begin to wonder if he is playing with a full deck

Rand Paul is 60. Not a young man, but he would be my choice.

Ted Cruz is also below the threshold, and he would be my second choice. At 52, he actually IS "young" by politician standards.

Ted Cruz has repetitiously and consistently voted to send our tax dollars to Ukraine.

That was the red line for me. In spite of the flaws he has, I had always really liked Cruz up until that point. Anyone who voted to send MILITARY aid to Ukraine, showed their "swamp", and showed their support for instigating a ground (and possibly thermonuclear) war and bolstering the MIC.

No thanks on Ted. Not any more. For his extensive knowledge of the Constitution, he has blatantly spit upon it too many times.
