Interesting perspective. Hard to say right now. How much importance did most Germans attribute to those "crazy Brownshirts" in their early years? I suspect that most of them viewed the Brownshirts as annoying little criminals and expected the early equivalent of the Bundespolizei to deal with them. OUR Bundespolizei need to be doing something other than standing and watching, IMHO. Arrests for each instance of property damage and/or assault. I think the LARPers go away quickly.

I think we agree again.

Maybe I didn't make my point well enough in the previous post. While the Antifa/BLM people are little league today. If Society fails to quell their activities and start holding them responsible for their lawlessness, then it will continue to get worse.

Appeasement has never worked.

I mean you are the prime example of that with post after post declaring one label over another is more accurate with little to no discussion of their negative affect on the country.

Why is important to not conflate them with Nazis?

Why is it so important to do so?

The left doesn’t care about such trivial matters. Why am I supposed to waste time being that exact when they don’t care either way?

You do you. I'm not a leftist, so I don't want to engage in their discourse.

Please DO feel free to reference me with male pronouns.

I find the pronoun nonsense AT LEAST as annoying as you do. Probably more so, because I am the son of an English teacher and an acknowledged Grammar Nazi.

//thatsbait//

Irrelevant (because I did not spell is "grammer") and gratuitous inclusion of my favorite grammar meme.

You answered a question with a question. Nope. Not playing your game, hoss. That’s a fools errand.

The funny part is that VERY few of even the Leftward end of the spectrum on this forum (center-Right on a normal scale) have ever called Trump "Hitler."

You asked a question that included an assumption about my motivations. Nope. Not playing your game, hoss. That's a fool's errand.

Just make sure you call them the right name. That's the important part.

The sympathizers are doing ample virtue signaling here.

Authoritarianism of any nature has more commonalities than differences. Today's leftists are more Maoists than Nazis but when they come to power, there's little difference.

The end result will be a technocracy. A nationalistic socialist system of "experts" who control everything. Lots of dystopian novels have been written about the consequences.

Really? People are burning neighborhoods, and the most important thing you have to talk about is their nom de plume?

My opinion?

Because it is lazy. Lazy descriptions lead to lazy analysis, and lazy analysis often leads to poor policy choices.

GOOD analysis and GOOD policy choices are more likely, if we do not allow ourselves to take the easy route of simply equating them to another group that we do not like, for no reason other than similar tactics.

Where does arguing about their name over calling our their actions fit into this?
