So if he sanctions then he is only doing it to coverup his collusion. If he doesn't sanction it proves collusion. Have I summed it up appropriately?

Nah, just proves he’s a puppet

POTUS knows more than Haley and is probably preventing a nuke war in certain diplomacy

My God, the way people will bend over backwards (or is it just bend over) in order to justify Trump retracting his own administration's announcement of sanctions once he catches wind that Daddy Vlad is pissed off about it is hilarious.

Trump personally signed off on these sanctions. They were included in the administration talking points RELEASED BY THE DAMN RNC on Saturday night. Haley announces them on Sunday, Vlad says, "no thanks", and Trump runs with his tail between his legs and has everyone blame Nikki Haley for being "confused".

If these sanctions were going to start WW III (they weren't) then why would Trump, in his infinite wisdom, have signed off on them to begin with?

Dumbass, I would imagine that she did and this was a group effort, but trump backtracked , making her look like the idiot. No sane person would believe Haley conceived the terms of the santions and enacted/ announced them herself.

You're right. And in fact, the administration provided talking points to the RNC, which the RNC in turn provided to the press, which specifically mentioned the sanctions Haley announced.

God, it's so uncomfortable watching these Trumpkins degrade themselves by doing this mental contortionist routine to justify their devotion to Vlad's whipping boy in Washington.

Is no one talking about Haley's statement, "With all due respect, I don't get confused," which she said in response to Kudlow's claim that she jumped the gun? Larry retracted his statement tonight:

quote:

"She was certainly not confused," Kudlow told The New York Times. "I was wrong to say that — totally wrong."

Kudlow told the Times he called Haley to apologize for the remark, and that he didn't have all the information on the policy when he said it.

“As it turns out, she was basically following what she thought was policy,” the president's top economic adviser said. “The policy was changed and she wasn’t told about it, so she was in a box.”

Thanks @real.

How do you neglect to update the Ambassador to the UN on the roll out (or not) of sanctions?

She reported the latest, most updated information.

Then the information changed.

I think the bigger issue is Larry Kudlow's comments.

Nikki: "We're rolling out new sanctions against Russia!"

Vlad: "Donald, do you prefer DVD or Blu-Ray?"

Donald: "Not so fast, Nikki!"
