They have been trying to self destruct for years. Inconsistent penalties for off the field antics. Slap on the wrist for cheating. Free agency... Which means your players don't stay with your team. You have to pull for a jersey instead of a player. Lots of little reasons. Penalties for big hits that are not even intentional. Etc. Etc.!

BS. All of those club sports have gone on for decades. Nobody stops watching because of CTE. That is a completely laughable excuse. The decrease in ratings started in 2016 with kapernick. To suggest otherwise means you're either obtuse or unwilling to be honest about it.
