I didn't know about the debate but I do think Haley's surge highlights the issues for traditionalist conservatives.
You've got populist MAGA which probably isn't going to consistently represent what you care about, and you've got the neoconservative establishment who has overseen the cultural rot you're looking to fight back against.
Unfortunately, the "conservative" electorate seems pretty content to divide itself among these contingents. I suppose it's not that surprising in a country that loves fast food and reality TV.
