That gets into an interesting conversation of its own. I get it to a degree, but I don’t think there is any denying Christ left us a Church and while Satan has and will continue to try to attack and infiltrate it (through scandals you have mentioned), the gates of hell have not prevailed against it

as a catholic....i say this with all due respect...who gives a frick what his stances are on political issues. I dont go to church to get guidance on political issues nor do i find the popes view on the poor or immigration to be of any merit.
