after the last podcasts chicken didn't want the link to the podcast posted. (Peeeeeeeeeeeeeej and Paige's) I am PRESUMING Paige got second thoughts and didn't want it posted anymore because the OT children made fun?

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the moderation of these boards. Threads like this are allowed, ban bets are allowed, but linking a podcast is verboten

Maybe it's because I've been on the internet for such a large percentage of my life, but I've never understood why we should behave differently in an internet community than any other community in our lives. For example, no matter how much of an "arrogant creep" someone might be at the office, I think it would be extremely shitty if everyone literally heckled every time they walked into a room. If it's shitty to do that irl, it's shitty to do it on a message board, in my opinion.

I'm well spoken. I don't take their shite. I'm better at this than they are.
And it pisses them right off.
Most of it is funny but I have to admit... it's not as fun as it used to be around here. The commercialization has attracted a lower class of poster and has driven enlightened debate away. There really isn't any worthwhile competition.

Maybe, but even still. I know plenty of absolutely awful people, yet no one starts shouting the equivalent of "Rex; not listening lalalalalalala" as soon as they walk into a room, every time they walk into a room. Everyone has their own damage, and I just think it's a bit fricked up to treat people that way.

There's plenty of far-left/right opinions on the PT and most of those posters aren't given the grief that Rex gets because they will occasionally have something to say that supports their opinion or a link for their claims.
What gets more down votes on the OT: a thread opining that some chick is the hottest thing since sliced bread only to have a pic of a "meh" chick, or a thread talking about a hottie but the OP doesn't provide a pic?
It's the same here on the PT, but instead of a pic, we want a link, quote, or something to back your claim.

You mean apart from the links to the Clinton Foundation reviews I've used as support, or the links to historians I've used as support in the Robert E. Lee thread, or the links I've used to Federal statues in the Comey threads, or the links I've used.... etc. etc. etc.
The TRUTH of the matter is that facts are on MY side, I utilize them, I support my arguments with verification, and YOU SEE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE.
