Seems to me that despite last week's news Gates is not cooperating with Mueller, thus these additional indictments.
Given the enormity of the indictments methinks Trump has sent a message to Manafort and Gates that he will pardon them.
Eric Schneiderman to the rescue of the rule of law. Trump can't pardon away state crimes.
