Early voting “in person” is no less secure than election day voting.
Unless one is registered to vote in multiple precincts, therefore giving them the time to vote “in person” in multiple jurisdictions.

How about making it as easy as possible to vote instead of making it more difficult?
For example, automatic voter registration when you get your driver's license, and holding elections on Saturdays when most people are not working.

Being eligible for a driver's license =/= being eligible to vote.

You're right. The left will screw with the ballots no matter how or when they come in.

We need to cut the nonsense and actually update the entire voting process.
1. We need to do away with paper ballots.
no for all of you "electronic ballots can be hacked" dummies, you need to realize that paper ballots are counted by you got it MACHINES, so paper ballots aren't actually making anything more secure.
2. Full implementation of the Real ID Act, and complete Voter ID laws nationwide
3. Do away with voter registration. This is such an antiquated process that it's frankly amazing that we even use it any more. It's simple you show up at a polling station, present your ID if you haven't already voted you get the ballot associated with your address and you vote.
4. MUCH stiffer penalties for those caught cheating in any way. A woman who has been sanctioned for violating a federal order concerning elections , for example, shouldn't still be in charge of any county's election, and should probably be in prison instead.
That's how you fix our voting system

Which is why voter registration is so stupid. You show up , you present your ID, if you haven't already voted, you vote in the precinct your ID says you should vote in. Have moved and not got a new ID yet? Too bad.

No mail-in voting, no voting other that “Show the frick Up” on Election Day. Cuts down on the chance of voting frickery.
Totally disagree. Most of the "frickery" is in election day voting anyways.
Early voting means less need for absentee ballots, less lines/pressure at the polls on election day, and it should allow for the votes to be counted faster.
Votin is currently a system heavily dominated by the local registrars and vote-councils in every county/parish. There is absolutely no uniformity.
If they want to be bassackwards for their local political offices, whatever. But for "national elections" i.e. president, house, and senate, there needs to be a national standard.
Again... if Louisiana can figure this out, it amazes me other places cannot.

We have to fix the dumbassery of the DMV before we could realistically tell people too bad. It shouldn't take half a day of waiting - when most people should be at work - to change your address.

Early voting isn’t the problem.
Mail in ballots are the problem.

The goal is to make it harder to vote, not easier

The goal is to keep avis car rental out of the equation.
