Am I not allowed to express my opinions as others do here? Or is this a R echo chamber?
Don't be silly. Trump won't be the nominee. He's not even going to finish out one term.
He'll resign to avoid impeachment, and try to claim victory somehow.

How come Trump didn't go pay respects at Arlington Natl Cemetery today, Veterans Day?

Seems that would be the presidential thing to do.
Well, now that he's got one of his flunkies in supervision of the Mueller investigation, perhaps he's busy reading a draft report.
Happy reading, and enjoy the indictments.

Well, the Democrats will gain the Senate majority two years from now.
As you know the majority goes back and forth, and yeah, in reaction to the appalling Administration we now have, certainly there will be D majorities in both the House and Senate.
And then after a few years it will go back, assuming the Rs can nominate someone who is not a blithering idiot.

They are chanting no boarders no walls no laws no private property??
In any event, if someone actually holds that position, then they may be summarily dismissed without further consideration.
It would surprise me if "progressives" actually believe that way. I know some rather adamant self-identified progressives, and they certainly do not think that way.

Ok, how do you know that they hold those positions?
They may, I don't know, that is why I'm asking.

The word politician is no where in the OP.
Sigh.
Ok then, please identity the "progressives" who hold such views. Thank you.

Or, you know, you could not lie to them.
Yeah, that would work.
Yeah, that would work.

What's the end game for progressives that hold these views?
Excellent question.
But can you give me one example of an American politician who holds such views?
Or are you just making up shite?
On Veterans Day, he is telling the state of Florida to not count the votes of active duty soldiers. LINK
Every day I think he cannot get more stupid. Every day he does.
When he leaves office, America will take a step towards being great again.

Actually, I would love it if nobody needed food stamps.
But they way to do that is not by making the qualifications so difficult.
Do it by actually reducing poverty. And the way to do that is by enacting policies that focus on the middle class, and not on the 1%.
Have a trickle up economy instead of a trickle down one.

re: New Idea: No early voting

How about making it as easy as possible to vote instead of making it more difficult?
For example, automatic voter registration when you get your driver's license, and holding elections on Saturdays when most people are not working.

Amazing, you make it more difficult to receive assistance and then fewer people receive it, I'm shocked SHOCKED at these results.
Meanwhile, actual poverty is increasing in Louisiana.

So your orientation is a choice, huh?
Please tell us about your decision. Was it a difficult decision? What were the pros and cons? When did you decide, and why?
What a stupid fricking idiot and an embarrassment to our state.

I think Rispone should follow the example of Reagan and Mike Foster. I think he should first serve as a State Senator or some other position before trying to become the top elected official in state government.

Scalise is running .
I hope not, although he would be a fine Governor.
But he would better serve Louisiana where he is. It is just a matter of time before the Republicans regain the majority in Congress, and when that happens, he likely will become Speaker of the House.
It would be great for our state to have a Speaker from Louisiana. The impact Scalise could have as Speaker is far greater than him merely being Governor.

Would you Republicans consider voting for Gov. Edwards?
Clearly, the last Republican Governor was a disaster. Surely you would not want a repeat of that, would you?
