I don't even know that he's lying. He just has selective and naive interpretation of how the world worked for most of the last few thousand years.

To people like him, the only people who have ever done anything wrong are western europeans during the age of exploration.

North american (excluding Aztecs) indigenous populations didn't even have the damned wheel in widespread use when the Europeans arrived. For all of human history, being that far behind means you'll get dominated when an advanced society emerges.

Well he also thinks all non white people are exactly the same in every way so it’s pretty safe to say that he’s ignorant, racist, stupid and dishonest. At least that’s what his posts indicate.

People like him are either so ignorant or so passively racist that they don't understand how different groups in these areas treated each other prior to European colonization.

I think everyone agrees that said colonization is impermissible in a modern cultural or moral context. But those things occurred centuries ago. People who apply modern geopolitical morality to things that happened in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries are, quite frankly, morons. It is a completely useless intellectual exercise.

ETA: At some point we have to turn the page and operate pragmatically in reality. Now, if we start talking about the shite the Belgians did in the Congo into the 20th Century or how the British and French created the modern Middle East that is different, frick them for that. But constant grievance over conquistadors from Castille giving small pox to the natives, or the VOC colonizing the Cape is just fricking dumb.

He’s a brainwashed, media soaked idiot who surfs the internet looking for confirmation of his backwards morality. All the “information” he’s posted is razor thin and comes verbatim from a quick google search.
