Exactly because she's got that (R), I'm inclined to take her side. The same is true for each and every Republican in any MSM hit piece ("article") these days. If this is reported by Fox or OANN I'll start to take it seriously.

You need to keep in mind that’s only an internal poll from Collins campaign and should be taken with a grain of salt, especially this far out from November.

The downvotes may be because she has a legit defense.
Most of the reporting I've seen on this story is a big example as to how most reporters including general public don’t understand how the logistics of such arrangements with advisers/brokers handling transactions without checking with the client on each individual transaction work.
Legally, her story should likely check out with the SEC, FBI and Senate Ethics committee.
If they can’t prove that she communicated inside info to those brokers, there’s nothing to be done there.
