New COVID drugs - Full disclosure of conflicts of interests from CDC, NIH, Fauci, etc.

No major securities deal can be made without full disclosure of ALL financial relationships of controlling parties. Doesn't mean relationships disqualify participation - but MUST be disclosed.
NIH and CDC's funding foundations have long-standing $100 million dollar-plus relationships with Big-Pharma companies.
Any therapeutic or preventative drug fast-tracked by the CDC, NIH, Fauci etc. should come with full disclosure. NOT saying they should not have a role in the selection process. But definitely saying that Pres Trump should demand full disclosure.
And yes, it bothered me that Fauci poo-pooed Hydroxychloroquine treatments in a press conference, and (in the same breath) hyped some Big Pharma drugs that are still in testing.

Dr. Fauci's reputation does not support allegations of corruption. He could have made gillions in the private sector.
He's just guilty of being overly conservative. He never denied off-label use of HCQ. He consistently clarified that in clinical practice you have more flexibility than at his level. He has to go by "science" for any official pronouncement.
Some of the Fauci haters should probably see past this silly effort by the MSM to try to pit Fauci vs Trump. The same MSM that is bereft of credibility.

this is 100% true. he has different thresholds for liability tolerance as the voice of the governments healthcare recommendations in this pandemic

Fauci and the other doctor seems very genuine and worried about the correct things. The press in this country is horrendous.

That's an institutional issue. The CDC is an organ of government. I'm all for 100% transparency.
The FDA has crossed the line from regulating Big Pharma to being their partner. I sued pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Fauci is part of the Swamp. Did you read the gushing letter he wrote to Hillary Clinton?
I said that Fauci and the CDC Foundation should make full disclosure of any relationships that in any way relate to the COVID-19 epidemic efforts for therapeutic or preventative drugs. And they damn well should!!!

Distribution and use in absence of proven treatment is not impeded (except in MI, and NV). At least the coming antivirals target viruses though. Regeneron's mAbs should definitely work. Convalescent sera Abs should help.

This crap is just as bothersome as the drivel coming out of the left (in and at much higher volume).
This guy is not your family doctor. Regardless of his personal opinion (and he is also on record saying he would prescribe it), his position is not one where he can be shooting from the hip and telling doctors to give it a try.
There is lots of stuff in all this to be frustrated by. This is WAY down the list and just makes you look silly.
