This is traditionally and data-driven false.

You’re not an elections expert. You’re a half-wit.
There were 34 Senate seats up for election. 14 were incumbent Democrats. Meaning there’s was a much lower chance of gaining seats for Republicans in the Senate.
That’s traditionally and data-driven true (which is horrible English, but it’s at least parallel construction with your post).

This country is so fricked. How in the hell are so many people this happy with the direction we are going?

Oh stop being an idiot. For over 100 years the largest swing of power in both chambers of Congress occurs in the mid-terms against the sitting the POTUS. This is not a debate. If you want to keep posting more lies, go ahead, I am not wasting anymore energy. Some of the folks here are so jaded and will not accept reality when it's staring them in the face. Knowing us, we will re-nominate Trump and waste DeSantis altogether.

They aren't
But voting (D) is more important to them than anything else.
trump derangement syndrome is for life and a lot of people have it.

It's not though. Of the 33 seats up in 2024 21 are currently D while only 10 are currently R (remaining 2 are independents).

How so? 2024 is a very good opportunity for Republicans in the Senate.
