Nearly 4,000 fully vaccinated people in Massachusetts have tested positive for coronavirus

Almost 4,000 people in Massachusetts who are fully vaccinated have tested positive for coronavirus, according to new data from the state Department of Public Health.
There have been 3,791 COVID cases out of more than 3.7 million fully vaccinated people as of June 12. That breaks down to 0.1% of vaccinated individuals testing positive for coronavirus in Massachusetts.
The state Department of Public Health did not say how many of the breakthrough infections have been severe, but public health experts tell the Herald that many of such cases are either asymptomatic or mild.
“We’re learning that many of the breakthrough infections are asymptomatic or they’re very mild and brief in duration,” said Boston University infectious diseases specialist Davidson Hamer. “The viral load is not very high.
“Breakthroughs are expected, and we need to better understand who’s at risk and whether people who have a breakthrough can transmit the virus to others,” he added. “In some cases, they’ll be shedding such low levels of the virus and won’t be transmitting to others.”
Vaccinated people who have had a known exposure to COVID should get tested if they develop even mild symptoms, according to the state Department of Public Health.
“Testing to identify current infection remains critical to control of COVID-19,” DPH said in a statement. “People with current infection can spread the virus to others and isolation of cases and identification of close contacts (individuals who may have been exposed) is a foundation of public health response.
“The number of COVID-19 cases in MA is low right now and it is important to continue to take appropriate public health action to keep that number low,” the agency added. “The public health recommendation encouraging testing remains in place as we continue to move through this pandemic to monitor for changes in COVID-19 activity.”

The ‘testing’ has been a joke from day one. It’s not very accurate.

I'm trying to understand why fully vaccinated individuals that are asymptomatic would even be tested.

New England went crazy last year. Travel bans. Mandatory testing.
I imagine some employers are still requiring random tests. Or tests if you believe you may have been around someone who thought they had covid.

That is exactly what the studies show would happen
The vaccines are remarkably good at stopping infection
I just don’t get this board
Trump himself says operation warp speed is his greatest legacy
Yet you guys, who worship Don on every other issue, continue to demean these incredible medical advancements.
It’s confusing

I don't understand it either, Trump did a great job rushing out safe and effective vaccines and he deserves mosrt of the credid for getting them out so fast. They should've named it after him imo.

Need to know the cycle threshold. Early reports were they were changing it on vaccinated vs unvaccinated. The data is being manipulated like everything with this pandemic…

It would be more interesting to know how many of those breakthrough infections were in people who previously tested positive for Covid.

I don't have a problem with this. No vax is 100% effective.
What I do have a problem with is:
1) We don't know the long term side effects of mRNA medicines, and
2) The "scientists" and "experts" haven't been entirely honest with the public. It isn't so much a case of they were learning on the fly as it was that they were being manipulative.

I hope every single one of them is sterile as a result of the vaccine

That is true, due to the PCR cycle count they were using. Right after biden took office, cycle counts were lowered (showing fewer positive cases) and then a couple of months ago, cycle counts were lowered again. Slightly for non-vaccinated people (but still higher than the number that will provide any meaningful results) and to a reasonable number for vaccinated. So, if they are using the correct, newer cycle count, these are probably real positive cases of covid.

I believe Trump pushed emergency use authorization for many reasons. One, so that vaccines couldn't be mandated, as eua's can't be forced since they don't gave FDA approval. Also, to get the country opened up as the Dems wouldn't allow restrictions to be lifted without a vaccine. They also never thought Trump would push vaccines, so he did what they least expected.
Despite what some folks think, Trump supporters are not mindless robots that fall in line. Just because Trump worked to get the vaccine out to the masses, doesn't mean we're going to go get it. We do think for ourselves.

So is this real positive or fake positive?
