Mike Mullen resigned as vice chancellor for student affairs at North Carolina State University Thursday after complaints from conservative students that they did not feel comfortable with him. Their stated reason was his tweets.

He did not respond to requests for comment and the university said only that his resignation was personal. He remains on the faculty.

The NC State official rules for university Twitter feeds advise people to "Keep your personal views separate: Uphold the university's mission and values in your activities. Don't include political comments or comments on social issues, and do not conduct any political activities on behalf of any party or candidate."

+1 for the good guys. The tweets were nasty.

I would expect this from UNC-Chapel Hill, but not State.

Yeah, I posted last week about Virginia Tech's orientation being a leftists wet dream.

In my experience, the land grant schools are more conservative than the flagships, but that doesn't mean they are conservative.

Of course:

BS resignation.

He thinks Trump supporters are nazis, but he can still teach and draw a 6 figure salary???

Higher education needs an overall. I am not sure of the exact action or set of actions that need to happen, but I know them being a bastion of far left politics is not healthy for the country.

What we need is a purge. These people are not educators, they are indoctrinators and have to go, by any means necessary, but they have to go.

We must purge our media and our education systems in order to even think about taking this country back.

That would not be an option if a conservative school official (probably does not exist, I knowa) had made similar comments about Democrat voters.

He'd get a promotion at Chapel Hill.

My sister, brother-in-law and cousin are State grads. My nephew is currently enrolled there. It's more conservative than a lot of schools... that's to say that it is still wildly leftist.
