If they can meet the requirements, I don't see the issue, at least not physically. Time to find another point.

I'm somewhat familiar. Please explain how an Internet forum directs my question to you.

If you can't even see the issues then you have no place in this discussion. It's been discussed ad nauseum on this board and every time people like you simply disappear from the thread after being made to look like fool. There is zero logical reason to have women in the military, much less in combat units. If you believe otherwise then you watchtoo many movies and are a brainwashed fool.

I know a guy whose son went thru What ever they call it before you get to hell week with the seals. He said there was an Olympic swim team member who did not make it and that the top guys were running 5 miles on sand with boots on in 28 minutes.

Edit (That 28 got typed as 20)

If she can meet the EXACT SAME STANDARDS as her male counterparts in all aspects of the training, she deserves to be a SEAL.

Being a sailor, though, I doubt they make her meet the same standards.

It's not just being fit for combat that's a problem here. It's also being the one of the few, if not the only female on a team of all males and that's just a recipe for disaster of drama and the men being horny and wanting to frick her and the same for her as well being in the company of strong and fit men and she would be wanting to hop on all of those dicks.

That destroys morale, cohesiveness, stability and readiness of the unit they're serving in.

Military bases overseas and ships at sea are notorious for this shite. Why do you think a lot of sailors call them love boats sometimes?

Women in combat is a bad fricking idea and not worth the trouble.

^ This

The drama it would bring to the teams without adding any additional productivity is just pointless

That's not even diving into the potential subconscious difference between of a male seeing a female suffering and the instinctual responses that can came come with it.

Best post in the thread. Thanks for breaking the ice and being blunt.

All I know is if I wanted to be a SEAL, and failed those tests to become a SEAL, i'd be super pissed and perhaps demoralized if some big ole dyke came in and passed it with flying colors

INB4 someone says in BUDs there isn't time for anything but eating in a hurry and maybe some sleep. But you still have valid points.

Also providing special sleeping quarters for the female. No tampons would be needed because a typical female stops having periods during excessive training and stress. (God didn't make the female body for combat-sorry)

We all watched GI Jane, that was a movie. I don't think IRL a female would be allowed into the same showers as the males.

I am discussing it. Don't get pissed because I didn't discuss it with you. I've seen enough of your commentary on this topic to know that I don't care about your opinion. I'm sorry if that upsets you.

I'm sure it makes you feel better to have your thoughts confirmed here, but I doubt any of you has made anyone look foolish on this.

I'd guess the number of women you've served with in combat approaches zero.

Yeah, I was talking to this Marine who was in Afghanistan in 2005 or '06. He said every WM on their outpost (I am not sure of the size) got pregnant. Every one. They were not trying get out of duty. The pressure on them is just too great.

Based on a perusal of internet forums, the Right has already decided if she does make it, it's because affirmative action. Meanwhile the Left has already decided if she does not make it, it's because sexism.
