The payment—that we know of—was ccp-sponsored propaganda trips and exclusive tours (for the purpose of promoting communist China in American media).

You do realize that her inability to actually report on evidence and facts related to the payments and instead using dot-connecting, is literally making my point? Please tell me you realize this.

With the Russian media story, I can post multiple mainstream media articles that can tell you who did the payments, how much, and where they went. Actual facts.

Let's review the words again

I think it's much more likely the news and media will over-report the actual evidence and MAGA is the one who won't care about that, and will pivot to making shite up and dot connecting instead.

With a decentralized "media" (really collection of content creators) this is expected

Only one issue.

The names given were not members of decentralized "media", but instead were leaders of legacy media. The trusted media. While I do not know the ins-and-outs of the legality of payments from foreign entities to journalists here, nor is the specifics of the payments given, it is troubling news.

Congratulations. You just defined whataboutisms perfectly.

There is no whataboutism when my response remains consistent. I'm not deflecting form the impact of China by trying to decrease the severity by referencing Russia. It's all bad. I've been pointing out the problems with NPCs falling victim to this echo chamber mentality since 2018 or so...certainly since the Qtard era emerged.

The problem is those who are not consistent on this general issue. They have a lot of cognitive bias to sort through.

Yes… that’s literally a whataboutism. The exact same “standard” you’ve tried to hold this forum to every fricking time we point out leftist hypocrisy- something in no short supply.

You’re doing exactly what I said you’d do. That these trips happened and were sponsored isn’t debatable. That these journalists went on to write China-favorable positions in US media isn’t debatable. You’ll just perpetually demand information until the exercise becomes impossible. Then you’ll make memes and avatars about being right, which is what a caricature with a hero complex does.

That's the kernel of truth

Dot connecting without direct, credible evidence to establish the thesis in OP.

Which is my point

I'm not even saying it's not possible, and I'll wait for the important evidence for the thesis before final judgment.

Direct credible evidence vs. dot connecting
