Again, pure fricking stupidity to assume they would all become degenerates.
I'd say there's a pretty good correlation on how kids are raised and how they turn out. Foster kids for instance are more likely to go to prison than to stay out of it. Yes there are the exceptions, but they're one out of 100. If a person doesn't come from a nurturing environment, then they'll almost always turned out fricked up in some way.
So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say 1/6 turn out to be successful, law abiding, non-leaching citizens. Now what about the other 50 million born in these circumstances.

Also pure fricking stupidity to assume that if abortion were not available that people would continue to get pregnant in the same careless manner.
Yeah, because Africa and the Middle East show that people will stop fricking irresponsibly if abortion isn't an option. You're denying human nature. No one fricks and says "whatever I'll just get an abortion", except for idiots like Lena Dunham. An abortion is usually a pretty horrible thing to go through that women don't want to do for obvious reasons.

I never said walk away. I'm saying that there's nothing a DA could do to force you to donate your blood for the child.
Feeding a child is, once again, not a part of your body. Unless your kid is a vampire, they're not being sustained by blood.

I wonder how many abortions DJT has paid for.

quote:Talk about free speech or gun rights and you'll eventually have to agree that there are limits on those rights. The same goes for autonomy. We don't have the freedom to do anything and everything we want. There are limits, like in most spheres of life. In this case, those like me are saying that a woman may be autonomous over her body up until the point of killing another human being.
I'm sorry, but "pro-life" is misnomer. It's "anti-self autonomy".
You're also only focusing on the autonomy of the mother and treating the unborn child as if it is a non-factor. The argument is about whether the unborn have the same right to life as the born, and if they do, then the mother's rights are limited when it comes to the rights of the child.
If you want to name it, you can call it "limited self autonomy".

This isn't a good thing.
Abortion has made this country safer and that is not even debatable.
Do you want more poors, white trash and ghetto hoodrats around?
Morally, I'm against the act of abortion. However, looking at the big picture overall, I can't argue against that point. Unfortunately, I believe the majority would be a bigger strain on society and the taxpayer.
Just for discussion, let me pose these questions to you as well:
If we were to end the "War on Drugs" and pass federal law or just decriminalize drugs, would we see an influx in criminal activity? Gangs and drug dealers use drugs as a way to make money. If we take that from them, would that lead to more thefts, robbery, burglary?
Similar to above, if we were to end or drastically cut welfare and other public works programs, would that cause a rise in criminal activity. You can create all the jobs you want...some people just aren't going to work and unfortunately will wait for their unemployment. If we were to cut it or reduce it, would that lead to more crime (selling drugs, theft, robbery, burglary, etc).

You can be morally opposed as I am but that needs to be kept out of government. Separation of Church and State. Not everyone has the same views as yourself.

I should be happy that so many liberals are killing off their progeny because it means that (hopefully) there will be fewer children raised in liberal households.

This is subjective.

So a person who views abortion as wrong shouldn't be able to express that opinion or work for laws banning abortion because of the separation clause?
