Social media has made people's narcissism grow like a cancer. Make an edgy social media post>get a bunch of meaningless attention from total strangers>dopamine hit. Except in this case he probably just royally fricked up his life, so the dopamine probably isn't flowing too much from this.

Podiatrists don't go to med school but a "podiatry institute" or someplace like that. That having been said, they do a residency in hospitals and train in surgery and do perform surgery.
