You haven't seen Elon say the first generation of Martian colonists msy be on a one way trip?
And it's possible with the 7 month there, 10 month back window.
But it would be better if we had a better transport system. Which is why the moon is important.
Build a base on the moon. Fly to mars from lunar orbit and use the earth as a slingshot. .
Without the wasted fuel of leaving earth.
I 100% believe Space X will advance deep space flight after they get the starship at 100%
