I'm finding it difficult to support the opposite conclusion - that it can be wrapped up in 3 months if it is significant and serious. But, again, Mueller is a good guy and one against whom it will be difficult to levy charges of partisanship (although the losing side will, regardless, try to do so because they dislike the conclusion.)

Lindsey Graham was the one with self professed knowledge of the Mueller investigation. The 3 month time frame came from Graham.
To be fair to Graham he called Comey's testimony to a tee while on McCallum.
Perhaps there is some inside baseball on Graham's account.
