The officer who arrested Lemon yesterday, said everything went smoothly. He said Lemon was ready, and already had his shite packed.

I would bet there would be a different outcome than what we have with Lemon.
We'll see. I'm betting he is convicted and a future Dem president pardons him.

Maher would be appalled by the arrest.
Look, I'll give him credit where due for remaining steadfast like a massive boulder over the past 40 years when the Overton Window has been moving into uncharted and unprecedented Leftward averages. Bill has remained so solid that his once-accurate hyper-progressive label of the past actually makes him a "moderate" today. And he has called it out, to his credit.
But he is anti-religion and anti-GOD with extreme prejudice and always has been, though he has often and successfully hidden it behind his version of neutrality. He doesn't care if someone interrupts church worship. He'd be happy to do it himself if, unlike Lemon, he didn't realize that it actually is a crime to do so.
On the "religious" spectrum, Maher has very much always been the insufferable and proverbial "angry atheist" that always takes a position of intellectual superiority against anyone and anything that believes in the GOD of Christianity.
ETA:
But it's so cool to see newly-minted multi-millionaire Greene who quit Congress and betrayed her base the day after becoming eligible for lifetime benefits, suddenly becoming more popular than ever in the Mainstream. You know, the same Mainstream pop culture conglomerate of sophisticants that spent six years doing literally nothing but mocking her and trashing her with every breath. And she wants to play nice now with these stooges that she could and SHOULD physically BTFO.

quote:Yep, he'll be a liberal fgt hero now.
Lemon is getting what he wanted.
Or he'll go to jail, which would also be a happy ending for him.

This is correct. His YouTube channel was only getting 5K views per episode as he was fading into obscurity.
This might work for a week or 2. Look how fast Big Mike's podcast lost viewers. Also, Lemon is a known commodity. People aren't just now hearing about him and deciding to become followers.
If Lemon was a new personality, then maybe it would have a lasting effect as more people discover him. But I don't really see this doing anything positive for him long-term.

Didn't something come out about Bill MAHER? That his audience was paid with controlled applause and laughter?
I never really bought into his sudden moderacy. I think he's feigned not being extremely left... To be Joe Rogan cool & gain back an audience.
It's almost like Jon Stewart. Everyone used to think he was so funny. He never really was and he lacked authenticity.

Bill walks the line, or tries to, to claim some semblance of impartiality. It's a ruse, and no one is fooled.
Jon Stewart had ONE slip up, while on Colbert's show, where he mocked the hell out of the idea that Covid19 came from anywhere OTHER than the Wuhan Lab of Virology.
I don't know that he's 'gone there ' again. Or dared to think or speak outside of the box ever since. He's likely been reprimanded by his overlords.

Yeah, have to admit she wasn't terrible. She was the most sane and common sense person out of the three.

Its doubtful he will do any jail time, and he's getting a ton of publicity.
Something that he wasn't getting before.
That's what he wanted and it's the only reason he was involved in the church raid protest.

Imagine if a white "YouTube journalists" did that at a black church.
I would bet there would be a different outcome than what we have with Lemon.
Cry more with your BS whataboutisms. White straight conservatives are NOT ambushing black leftists at Church. We are not the same.
frick you.

I think the left will forget about him in a few days. This bought LeMon a few minutes in the spotlight again but even most liberals knew he was terrible.
