I had Covid pneumonia myself for the whole month of October and into November. It's no joke.

All my prayers out to your wife on this.

I’m not kidding. Get her out of Lane Memorial and to a big hospital in Baton Rouge if possible

X 1000 If any way possible keep her off the vent. I stayed 13 days in ICU and kept saying no. I made it through at 61 years old, had a few rough days but I made it thru, the other 4 in there at the same time didn't! Trust Jesus!!
I pray the best for Mrs. M

Do you think it matters? This is completely unknowable for any individual.

Do you take issue with the question being asked whether she is vaccinated? People are asking all sorts of questions about her treatment and you don't seem to be replying that it doesn't "matter". Or are you implying that her vaccination status does not matter in her care and her chances of survival? Because I kinda think it is kinda matters... a lot.

But that’s just because you’re listening to the parrots in the media.

Despite what is seriously intoned about the vaccine lowering the likelihood of progression to hospitalization and death for the vaccinated, the data doesn’t present that clear of a difference for breakthrough infections versus the unvaccinated. So you’re completely incorrect.

Why? He's the husband and already can make decisions if she is incapable.

Seems like vaccination status was important to this study on the use of remdesivir. LINK
If you are vaccinated, the doctors can key your treatment in on the symptoms more than the actual virus.

My youngest brother is in the hospital with pneumonia on top of the Covid. He's been in over a week now, and came out of ICU couple days ago. Trying to wean him off the oxygen now.

It's amazing how several hundred people get it and are over it in a few days but there's that one person that gets it baaaaad! Damn Covid is Fickle.

I could care less about breakthrough infections. I will take the virus any day of the week as long as I am not dead after I get it. Anyone with half a brain would think the latter was the most important. You people do grasp that just because a vaccine is more therapeutic than prophylactic, it is not working or not worth it. Give me a break. Sorry if you can't accept that reducing the mortality rate even with breakthrough infections is really important. Dead is worse than sick. Sorry but that is not an "incorrect" position to take.
