These cops bent over backwards to be as polite, cordial and respectful of Brooks.
Brooks fricks up and takes the breathalyzer. He registers above thr limit. The cops were bound by law to arrest him.
He assaults the cops. Then he compounds the problem by stealing the taser and running aeay a nd then discharges it towards the cops.

Yep it was unbelievable. I guess this will get qualified as a COVID death since he would’ve still been locked up in jail if it wasn’t for them releasing him early due to COVID.
Just wait until the toxicology is released

I tuned it off before they got to hunting out of season over a baited field.

The DA said he was jovial. Does the phuckin DA even know what the words means?
His description of the way the police were acting and speaking is starkly different from the way he characterized Brooks actions and speech and neither could be further from the truth. None of it was relevant, however. Once Brooks violently attacked the officers the whole scenario should have been seen through a totally different lens.

We talking about the criminal?

I would imagine that in the future, it will be well understood in certain communities (Dem. held) that if a perp decides to run away from being arrested, that's "his right",and we should be OK with that.

The pesky problem for his narrative is that we all have eyes and can clearly see the dude violently attacked two officers, stole a weapon from one, ran, and fired said weapon at the officer who was in pursuit.
Soooo...it doesn't really matter what his affect was before he did all that.

The shock waves will be felt in every city now regardless of the party in office. It has been made abundantly clear that Blue Lives are irrelevant and black lives must be exalted. Th epolice are going to be seeing a whole lot less evil.

They were justified shooting the guy as he was grabbing weapons while wrestling with the officers on the ground.

He went to University of Alabama.
The DA went to Morehouse for undergrad and Emory for law school

They're public enemy #1, at least that is how I would feel.

If I were a cop i would worry about myself and just stand there and let the thugs do what they want. At least can't be charged with murder for doing my job, after about a week of no law enforcement this idiot and others may wake up.

So, the DA DA overcharges the cop, the cop gets off, and riots ensue.
lather, rinse, repeat.
