Why don't "small government conservatives" get this?

I don't get this...does someone that wants smaller govt also want anarchy?

To Christians The Bible gives us rules (ie laws) to live by, because its best for society. Just like govt needs to put in laws that will maintain its healthy society.

Legalizing drugs in states have not improved them, and the economic impact that was "promised" aren't being realized either.

This is like telling Christians that pro-abortion laws are ok because you are a "small govt" believer and "you have no say what a girl/woman can do with her body."

Make laws reasonable, leave me alone as long as I'm obeying them, and apply them law evenly no matter who someone is. And stop wasting taxpayers money on things that aren't the govts responsibility. And yes safety of it's citizens, even if it's keeping them from doing harm to themselves, is something the govt should be looking into to make proper laws to prevent damage.

Prohibition was trying to put genie back in the bottle. So taking a right away that had been a right is different than releasing what has never been into society.

Why people think San Francisco, Portland and Seattle are great examples of what the future of this nation will be is crazy.

I have no problem restricting drugs which can easily result in lethal OD. At the least, cannabis is not one of those.

Weak should die off ??
Show your mother at age 60 tripped and broke her hip and recovery was a problem or how about a child born with say the need for a wheel chair as he or she grows up but has a bad arm and cannot control the chair, should they just die off ?

frick no.

No sane person would conceive such.

People who cant handle drugs need to be allowed to use freely and die off.

I’ll support total legalization but users of these drugs have to irrevocably relinquish any claims for any government benefits for health care, food stamps, welfare, mental health, unemployment, etc.

Now apply that same logic for candy and soft drinks. Bad diets are objectively doing more damage than drugs. Idiots.

Where in the bible does it say that DMT is bad but coca cola and Hostess cupcakes are good?

Red States in America - the pinnacle of health outcomes? lol

It just leads to more dangerous alternatives.

Added benefit is that full legalization would severely hurt the Mexican drug cartels

If you really want to frick the cartels you make them compete with WalMart. Low prices, good variety of choices, a customer service and return system that rarely involves a machete ...

I think all drugs should be legal, but you have to let people die for it to not destroy society.

I absolutely do, I just am smarter than you and realize that drugs are easy to come by, legal or illegal.

Your kids are going to experiment, the illegal nature of drugs doesnt inhibit use by users, nor prevent experimentation.

It just creates a more dangerous market with more dangerous products..

Ok, you probably believe kids should be given ADD drugs, you are the problem with the West's decline.

Yes, you are so smart, almost liberal smart.

You are probably uneducated on the opium war. China didn't stop the destruction of their society with your wisdom.

What the frick are you talking about?

The war on drugs failed, you lost. All youre doing now is spending your kids inheritance to pretend to fight it.

Fentanyl, compared to Heroin. Meth compared to Cocaine.

The black market offers everything you need, just more dangerous in trade and in consumption.
