I said minimize deaths.

You're an idiot because you can't read.

The current policies actually have near zero percent chance of working as most people are going to get this.

You're also an idiot because you have no clue why the current policies have been put in place.

TLDR:
You're a moron.

You're a moron because you don't have even basic math skills and take things out of context.

You live in some fantasy land.

The current policies make no sense so there is no way for me to make sense of something that has zero chance of working. Its like placing a bet on yellow in roulette... there is no yellow... there is only red/black and Os.

Everyone is going to get this, the curve is basically meaningless as the hospitals are more less a death sentence if you have to go there.

This isn't complex.

Are you the one who said 370 million or was that a different moron?

You're a fricking moron.

I have no idea what you fricking talking about, it has a higher transmission rate than the flu. Humans can't stop the flu, moron.

Its not complex, only complex to your stupid arse.

Within 2 years basically the vast majority of people will get it, even the government is saying it.

We've minimized the impact of the flu for decades, dipshit.

This isn't something that should have to be explained to an adult. I assume you're an adult, and if you are, you're an idiot.

If you aren't, you're still an idiot.

This is because the amount of testing has ramped up exponentially over this period. This was totally expected.

Never said it wasn't expected. In fact I am surprised that it is not higher. Whomever I was responding to asked for evidence that these were new cases. Well those are "new cases."

Because that is what the data says you freaking retard, you know you make up shite all day and troll but its not going to change this.

The vast majority are dying if they go to the hospital, if they have to put you on a vent... 24 out of 25 are going to die right there.. not in a month when the get home... right there. The chances of any of these people to making it a year is pretty fricking slim.

Just stop.

I told my dad straight up this crap isn't worth killing the economy, even if it kills someone I love. That's life and if its your time its your time and we have to deal with it.

He fully agreed with me

People placed on a ventilators survival rate is closer to about ~50%

I have no idea where you are getting 24/25 will die on a ventilator? Do you have a source?

It's high, but it's not 96%.

One study may indicate 30% to 50%.

Oh that's just from being on vent. Meaning, before this virus, if you were put on the vent it was 50%+ you wouldn't make it a year.

If you get this virus, the stats are 95%+ of the people are dying at the hospital when put on the vents... not within a year... they don't make it out of the hospital accept in a box.

What statistics? They aren’t testing positive pre-screen symptomatic because there aren’t enough tests! Read for yourselves in the Milwaukee Journal, Omaha World Herald (home of the wonderful UNMC)

And we do what we can to minimize those deaths
we are crashing the economic resources needed to keep a tiny fraction of the population in comfortable conditions until they recover or die. there won't be a country much longer to do that if we keep this up.

60k people died from seasonal flu 2 years ago. i were a bettor, i would wager that number is triple what this virus will end up doing. 20k dying from 19 is a HUUUUUUUGE stretch at this point.

you are completely missing the point: why aren't we doing this every year for the seasonal flu? why didn't we do this for h1n1? we have NEVER done this before despite some nasty outbreaks.
