Interesting, you keep bringing up President Trump
It's poignant when this is still, at its heart, a discussion of "conservatives" who promote Leftism because that's Trump.
But, "conservative" has been redefined by Patriots so that Trump isn't a Leftist...again, the point of the discussion in this whole thread.

Trump's biggest complaint was that we didn't spend more
Do you wish you were plowing with a mule today?

I can guarantee you, that when their turn comes around and, they apply for SS/MC they will smile and cash those checks.
BOOK IT.

Giving up 20 years of taxes for nothing is sort of a drawback, don't you think?
Also, my plan is to give up almost all benefits. How is that "wanting ALL the benefits"? Explain that to me.

Running on the issue to cut SS is probably the dumbest political advice ever.
If Ron is making the issue of saving SS by cutting it he is a dead man walking. Any politician running on cutting SS is completely out of touch with the electorate.
I'm not talking about he merits of cutting SS. I'm taking about running on the issue of cutting SS to save it.
A little friendly advice, stay away from this issue and make other issues front and center.
If Ron sets a policy position on cutting SS in the primary (and if he somehow wins) this will carry over to the general and he will get killed on the issue.

I'm promoting getting my money back by any means.

The American Citizen could get more money in the stimulus checks and LESS money be given to government programs. Afterall, it was the government that encouraged the shutdowns, thanks to the recommendations of the "experts". Don't you pretend to be smart?

So be it, however, it is my money like any and all taxes taken from me.

quote:There are multiple definitions and/or examples of benefits. Sometimes those benefits are in the form of a check from the gov't. Other times those benefits are in the form of having a better way of life. You want the benefit of not having to pay as much to the gov't (by denying earned benefits to those that came before you). Again, don't you pretend to be smart?
How is that "wanting ALL the benefits"? Explain that to me.

Cool. Good job getting us to where we are today. At least a boomer actually admits to having a hand in the current state of affairs. But which part of that entitles you to my money?

Explain to me why you think you deserve to get SS/Medicare benefits again?
Try not to explain it like an "adolescent teenager", so you can't talk about what you've already paid or contributed to society b/c that's a big "me me my my my" argument.
