This quote stood out to me. Comcast, a cable provider who brings millions of Americans their TV:
I wonder when Comcast is gonna start purging their disrespectful and offensive content that they profit from immensely to the American people...
Notice if you read this article that he is only alleged to be a member of a "hate group" with no evidence that he is or has done anything hateful or disrespectful to anyone.
The only evidence cited for his firing was that he was working security for a rally:
Apparently fascist behavior is excused as long as you scream loud enough that the other guy is a fascist.
Be vigilant
quote:
Comcast on Wednesday fired Andrew Kovalic, a 10-year employee who earlier this week became the target of a viral petition alleging that he is a member of a hate group.
The petition that called for Kovalic’s termination, which had garnered 373 signatures by Wednesday morning, was created and sponsored by the Philadelphia-based nonprofit Media Mobilizing Project, which often scrutinizes media and telecommunications companies like Comcast.
This quote stood out to me. Comcast, a cable provider who brings millions of Americans their TV:
quote:
In a statement to Philadelphia magazine, Comcast said, “There’s no place for disrespectful, offensive behavior in our culture. The individual is no longer employed by Comcast.”

The only evidence cited for his firing was that he was working security for a rally:
quote:
On Facebook, the rally’s organizers state that the purpose of the event is to “Show Philly what patriotism really is.” Those encouraged to attend are “patriots, militia, constitution loving Americans” and those who are “pro good cop, pro ICE, pro law and order, pro life, pro American value, pro gun and anti illegal immigration.”
Organizers also wrote, “Any violence, racism, or display of hate by any group or individual is extremely prohibited.”

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I laugh when I hear the scum on the left railing about rich white corporate America being Repub and evil. This is incorrect. Corporate America has moved to the left. Using PC and racism as their reasoning, they have intimidated anyone on the right from speaking their mind or being politically active in any way. This is how they win in the long run.

Im guessing they know they will pay bigly. Probably gave the guy a nice "retirement package" if he left quietly. Notice he didnt respond to the media inquiries.

Unless he is a “protected class” then odds are not good he has a case. Which is fine by me. Company should be able to fire someone if they want. Now can he sue for libel/slander is a different story.

Is he in a hate group?

Far left wingers like TBoy at it again

Define what you think a “hate group” is?

Not sure if he's a member of the SPLC.

A hate group..... that targets a specific skin color, regardless of the individual's actions?
No, I don't believe he is a democrat.

So he's in the Proud Boys, the right wing Antifa. I think that could create an issue in the office culture. They can certainly fire him for that under Louisiana law.

Link to Proud Boys destroying businesses, attacking police, starting fires, and conducting violent mobs?

I dislike the proud boys as much as the next guy but they aren't on equal ground with Antifa. Antifa wants to drown out free speech and silence all opposition. Antifa attacks random Trump supporters with bike locks and knives. Antifa is exactly what they say they are against.

Never heard of the Proud Boys until this moment - a Quick search shows that the reason they are called a hate group promoting violence comes from the SPLC and the NPR program "the Takeaway" -
In other words, there is no evidence that they are hateful or violent.
If they hold a rally and the left wing radicals show up to hurl hate and commit violence, that means they are responsible.
now I have no idea what the PB really does, but I take the opposite view from the SPLC as the truth. until proven otherwise

Dunno, there was no proof presented that he was even a member of the "Proud Boys" which is only considered a hate group by fringe, far left organizations. He was working security for a rally that warned against any hateful actions.

Who?? What specific actions have been committed by the "Proud Boys" that led you to the conclusion that they are similar to Antifa?

The good ol’ Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Democrat Party is a hate group.
SPLC is a hate group.
Congressional Black Caucus is a hate group.
Women's March is a hate group.
NAACP is a hate group.
Again, Democrat Party is a hate group.
If he's a member of one of those bowel movements then yes, he is in a hate group.
