Both sides of this divide have real problems. I have no issue viewing Israel as an ally, but an alliance doesn’t mean blind obedience, friends don’t control each other, and you don’t have to agree on everything to remain allies.

At the same time, Tucker praising Islamic countries, soft-pedaling Nick Fuentes, or speaking favorably about Russia is strange, and it’s even stranger how quickly people rush to defend it.

What worries me most is conservatives elevating the most radical voices because that’s what the left did, and now the left is controlled by them. Meanwhile, anyone who pushes back gets dismissed as anti-free speech, a relic of the past, a neocon, or an “Israel-first conservative.”

I don’t know exactly how we got here, but the result is clear: we’re tearing ourselves apart, and in the process, handing the advantage to the left.

I don’t understand why we can’t peacefully disagree with others who are on our side on 90% of issues, and simply say well I don’t agree with him on X without it getting so personal.

I still like Levin and Levin has always been great in constitutional law and most other issues. He has ben fighting these battles since the Reagan administration. It's when foreign affairs come into play he loses it, particularly on Israel. He can't seem to understand that you can be MAGA/America First and be critical of Israel and our involvement in Ukraine. He takes it as an affront. He is definitely an old school Neo-con in this regard and is out of touch with where base is at. I say this as someone who doesn't buy into all of the anti-Israel conspiracy bullshite that gets posted here.

very well said. I will only add that he is a Neocon with one nasty temper. Not real sure but I think that he said people who call him a neocon hate Israel. So yeah... he needs to buy a clue.
