Yep and a beautiful old building. I’m from Montgomery originally. Went to Lee, dad went to Lee as well but Lanier has a proud history and it’s a damn shame they are about to merge with carver. I hope the old building will be saved.

Me too.
"I hope the old building will be saved."
... Montgomery is a good place to be "originally from".

Montgomery needs a new mayor and city government overhaul. It is disgraceful for this to happen in the South.
Montgomery is doomed for the same reasons Birmingham and Detroit were doomed. I honestly wish the state legislature would take municipal independence away and make Montgomery to Alabama what DC used to be to the Federal government: a special capital zone with a city manager appointed by the legislature. Alabama’s constitution gives the legislature near supreme power in this regard.

I like that... and keep Maxwell/Gunter in place.

I don't know why they set themselves up like this. Just fly the gay flag and the normal flags at the same time. Why take the normal flags down? You have to know this is going to happen.

The “improvements” were part of the problem: removing as much of the old south from the city as they could get away with, and building overpriced hipster apartments and condos to attract “young professionals” downtown. Exactly the type that love things like rainbow flags.

Kweers don't have kids, so they don't care about shitty public schools

Lanier is still Lanier, no name change, but it is closing next year.

Lol. You know where I’ve never really gave a flying frick to visit? Montgomery.

If Emory Folmar was still mayor of Montgomery, he’d shoot the fricktards that put those fig flags up.
