And what makes this even more funny is that most of the people they interview suggest the reason for the drop in enrollment is due to racism at Missouri. They learned nothing.

Yup, this will fix it . . .
Depends on how you define "fix".
For these nut jobs, it will "fix" it.

But, she said, she understands why black students might not apply to a campus where they are all but invisible. A friend’s boyfriend obliviously told her she looked like Aunt Jemima, and she was dismayed that her friend did not object.
I'm calling BS on this...
Heck. Let's say it's true.
Sounds like the friend who "didn't object" is an adult who knows that words don't mean jack shite and just drove on with her day.
It's the "dismayed" person who is the social misfit.

Students of all races have shunned Missouri, but the drop in freshman enrollment last fall was strikingly higher among blacks, at 42 percent, than among whites, at 21 percent. (A racial breakdown was not yet available for this fall’s freshman class.)
if I were a AA student i wouldn't want to go there either.

Wonder how many of the Prog professors supporting that nonsense are now clinging to an uncertain job.
Hopefully all. If your job changes your morals, then your a fickle sheep

This all just goes to show you that the majority of Americans really are sick of the shite.
Just like they were in the 60s.
Wanna follow those arse cracks?
And just like the 60s, and time before that, they were proven to be unequivocally wrong, legally and morally..
but have you say bud

This is the part that's hilarious to me.
The university is literally bending over backwards to appeal to AA students, and they are shunning them too. Not to mention this whole mess was started on a lie and made worse by the group they are trying to cater to.

I kinda would hope that would be a learning experience for most adults.

Good. Now, we can kick them out of the SEC

Think of all the black custodians who lost their job because of this social justice asshattery...

Freshmen enrollment is down 35% - not school enrollment. No reason to throw in the fake news.

Yep.
Basically, SS's posts here are PROOF of why the University should have told every last protestor to pound fricking sand.
Because trying to kiss their arse didn't do jack shite.

This is the kind of stuff that is killing the DNC. The political hacks will say that the Dems just need to focus on the economy etc but this bullshite is what is killing their brand. Americans will put up with a lot but this is the type of nonsense that gets people's attention.

Reductions in state funding may not have helped Mizzou, but I seriously doubt they had much of an effect on total campus enrollment.
Correct, not on enrollment, but definitely on the University. I realize that is not popular on this board, but drastic state funding cuts will have a more lasting impact than the protests will.
Found an interesting study from Pew on views on institutions like higher ed. SHARP downturn from GOP in support for Higher Ed.

I don't think anyone would accuse people like David Steeleman of being anything close to a Democrat. What does it matter who appointed them?
