Missouri enrollment takes another major drop

The financial strain is on top of state budget reductions from Jefferson City.

Their recruiting department blows.
My daughter was seriously considering Mizzou as an option. Her mom and dad and grandma and grandpa all graduated from Mizzou and grandpa still teaches there. They made little to no effort to recruit her seriously. She's now in an accelerated med school program.
There's systemic issues on the campus. They'll get it figured out or they won't.

They should recruit more gay athletes to fill the hole in their enrollment.

It's turned out some really good docs. They're in a pickle now due to some administrative issues and their accreditation is probationary. Their alums are furious.

Of the colleges she considered, Mizzou's recruiting was by far the most tone-deaf and anemic. Heavy on bulk mail.
I laughed out loud at her on campus visit when a PowerPoint slide touted the "safe spaces" on campus. The presenter did not refer to the point on the slide, oddly enough.
