IF I were Trump I’d announce tonight that US is immediately closing all bases in Germany and those forces are being relocated to Poland.

We should invade them and occupy them again. Drive our M1s up and down their streets at night ,every night.Fly A10s overhead all day long. Dismantle their industry and bring it here. Gen. Patton is still pissed off.

I am pretty sure that Patton would shite his pants if he saw an A-10 and he would die from an exploding boner if he saw an M1.

They are doing their part. We should reward them for it. Moving out bases from Germany to Poland and the baltic states would be a nice boost to their economies and would be a power move that would make Putin back the f**k down.

Trump should tell her if Germany ever invokes Article V, the US will give a 75% effort in their defense.

NATO and the UN are pointless outdated organizations that exist only to burden American taxpayers with un-American problems.

We should withdraw from both, and watch them collapse. Subsequently, we should demand that countries wishing American military protection pay directly for their defense costs.

Pay tribute to our American hegemony or fuk straight off. And foreign aid to shitholes should cease IMMEDIATELY. We are the most benign superpower the planet has ever seen. It is well past time to secure America First.

This is moronic.

Russia is more aggressive because we’ve moved into their near abroad, and because we conduct exercise with countries like Ukraine and Georgia.

Do you understand how why that compels them to push back?

Just pull everyone out.

Poland is a fine country, but we shouldn’t be bank rolling their defense either.

Yes and I am saying call his bluff. If you would take Putin's cock out of your mouth you would realize that Putin is all mouth and no action. He knows good and damn well that if the US set up a permanent military base in the baltics and poland that he could not do anything to stop it.

This is probably before your time, but on the early hours of June 11th 1999, a detachment of Russian soldiers seized the airport in Pristina Kosovo.

This was, unexpected.

1998 was just about the nadir of the post Soviet era for Russia. The country was nearly bankrupt and it tottered on the edge of collapse.

The armed services were in dismal shape, and the army had been roundly beaten in the first Chechen War.

And we’d spent the last seven years pushing them around on the international stage.

And this pattern had continued through the Kosovo crisis. We’d listen to the Russians when they complained. But we largely discounted their opinions and interests. And when they asked to participate in the post war peacekeeping mission, we said no.

General Wesley Clark, head of KFOR, and the NATO war effort in Kosovo was furious when he heard about the seizure. He ordered a helicopter assault on the airport, led by a British detachment of paratroopers.

The British officer refused.

The airport debacle was a personal humiliation for Clark, but it also showed the flaws in our thinking. We did not expect the Russians to react, and no one in their right mind would have expected them to send forces to Kosovo.

We didn’t think it was possible.

Someone in Moscow had asked for military options though, and a someone had answered, pointing out that they could just redeploy some of their peacekeepers, then stationed in the Republic of Srpska, to Kosovo. It was a very simple thing.

They’d have to drive through the night, but they would probably have the element of surprise.

The British commander, when faced with the prospect of fighting the Russians blanched. But it was the right call.

The airport didn’t matter, not in the scheme of things. And the Russians were just making a point. Also, they’d have to leave when they ran out of food. The bigger issue was the problem of two nuclear powers engaging in combat against one another.

Every single time we wargame this. It ends in nuclear war.

Whenever I read about how we should get deeper involved with Georgia, or Ukraine, I think of the Xth Corp in Korea.

There is a danger here.

1. Did I mention Georgia or Ukraine? No I did not even thoughI love Ukraine and I have been there multiple times and I am going back there next month. I do not believer that Ukraine or Georgia will be joining NATO in the foreseeable future. I mentioned Poland and the Baltic states which are our allies and who pull their own weight unlike Germany. We can do whatever we want in those countries because Putin does not have the balls to attack NATO.

2. If Russia was ever going to do anything they would have done it in 2014-2015. Oil was high and the Russian economy was good so they had the $$$ to fund the actions, they had Ukraine on the ropes both politically and militarily, NATO was asleep, and the US was lead by a pussy. Now NATO is awake, Ukraine is much stronger militarily not taken on Russia by itself strong but a thousand times stronger than they were five years ago and it is now a nation of 42 million that have united against Russia, the Russia economy is in the crapper, and the USA is no longer lead by a pussy.

They buy all their gas from Russia and refuse to meet their NATO commitments, but Trump is the bad guy

I know right. If they would cut down on the amount of gas that they and the EU buy from Russia then Russia would be too poor to sustain any type of military that could even think about threatening its neighbors.
