What is 'compassionate' about bringing 7 children into this world that she can't take care of?

BTW, where is the father of these children?

Why does ir have fall upon the taxpayer to take care of these children?

Does not the father(s) of these children have a responsibity to provide for these children?

I'm not willing to give her carte blanche compassion without knowing her age, number of fathers of the seven kids and if she were actually married to any of them.

Asking for compassion for a situation that could be blamed on personal stupidity is somewhat a stretch, imo.

I remember a news article up here in my part of the country several years back trying to glorify a 25 year-old woman with seven kids with five different dads. She had never been married to any of them and was pulling in almost $4,000 a month for child welfare.

Of course she didn't have a job.

Doesn't an ever-expanding dependency state under a single party lead to totalitarian rule? You can't have it both ways. Either these people reduce their fricking fertility rates voluntarily, or else the more developed countries and more responsible citizens are going to reduce it for them by setting up policies which prohibit hyper-fertility from occurring.

I believe compassion can be tempered with practicality. You can be compassionate and still recognize the underlying causes of the problems. Beats the liberal model by miles.

The hate in here is ridiculous...I dislike the abuse of the welfare system, but I don't mind helping a woman and her family like this. It is clear she realizes her mistakes and is working hard to not let another generation live as she has. It is also clear she is working to get herself and the rest of her children off of welfare for good.

This is what assistance was designed for and I am good with.

Im not excusing the fact she has 7 kids. She was probably really young and dumb and made her fair share of mistakes. But it happened and those kids aren't going anywhere. So she could either say F it and start (or continue) a cycle of welfare dependance or bust her arse do make sure her kids become independent, productive members of society. If things go according to plan, this temporary welfare assistance will be worth the investment. I've mad my mistakes (not 7 kids, but you get what I'm saying ), so I'm not going to kill her over hers IF she means what she says and isn't just giving a bunch of lip service.

A21 is not the answer you are looking for.

or, the father(s) of the seven children could be held accountable for their contributions, and the innocent taxpayer let off the hook ?

Sounds like a rough way to spend your early-mid 30s. She should keep her legs closed.

I don't have it tough at all, my man. I'm living my dream as best I can.

But I still resent my tax monies going at such a high clip towards welfare and warmongering.

I'd rather live in a socialist country made up of at least 90% demographics that match mine (white European) that doesn't have a religious right or doesn't start wars. I guess America will have to do since I was born here.

I think you'd be safe just typing "fathers", dude.

You'd have a better chance of hitting the Powerball than of this trash having only one baby daddy.

I have a grad degree and I'm working to learn German, but the odds are still low of getting citizenship and finding a career that is as solid and lucrative as my current one.

OK, I got to tell you that you are not making a lot of sense. You want to live over there, it is much better than here, but you wouldn't be able to find a job over there. Not even mentioning your comments on race sound rather naziish or kkkish. I can't believe someone hasn't called you down on them.

It's very difficult for Americans to emigrate to Western Europe. I would much prefer France to Germany, but France is being overrun with religious fanatics, the German economy is by far the strongest in Europe, and the German language will still be relevant in 200 years (unlike French).

Hate to tell you chief, those "socialist" countries have more welfare than we do.

Or do you just resent it going to certain people?

america's welfare society is exploding at a rate never seen in history - it is going to get exponentially worse in our lifetimes.

racist arse racist. she seems to be following my plan to avoid poverty (at least using this plan for her kids)

no mention of smoking, so this may violate SFP's Law on Poverty Articles...but it's a 'right wing' article, so maybe that is the exception
