PLEASE explain how this is not worse than Watergate.

Then Sessions recuses himself and leaves Trump wide open to the people that did this shite.

Someone needs to be looking into Sessions.

So Nunes and the republicans spend a year gather info and doing due diligence and produce a four page memo and the dems will turn around and produce a ten page rebuttal in a few days? How is that? Have they been appointing HIC dems to fisa info review and gathering support as well for a year?

Also remember that DC's population is something like 90% Democrats.

I never could understand the veracity of the motives for the people who have been trying to take down Trump since before the election. I now understand that there were plenty of people who had committed crimes that would instantly go away when Hillary won, and yet another set of people that their livelihoods depended on a democratic president. These people needed Hilary in a way that I just hadn't understood before.

Dear Perfect Circle,
Like you, I am looking at this through my own understanding of what has happened in the past several months. I am not being willfully ignorant; far from it.
For example, please enlighten us on your understanding that the Executive Branch 'weaponized the IC' to derail a presidential candidate.
Which administration are you talking about?

And, while we're at it, the apparent complaint of this memo is that a FISA court was misled into issuing an extension of a warrant for surveillance against ONE individual.

How would that possibly derail a presidential candidate?
And, to the larger point, the Mueller investigation and many investigations in Congress are trying to get to the bottom of how Russia (yes, birthplace of Stalin) interfered in our last presidential election. The intelligence community has been on record about this threat for months, because they recognize the threat it is to our country.
That's what you should be worried about, sir.
Respectfully.

Cool story bro. So when are you moving to Europe?

Very intellectually dishonest of you.

It couldn't have been Nunes, because he hasn't read it.

And now we add another to the long list of uneducated posters not to take seriously. At least try to know what you're talking about when you're spewing bull shite.

Nunes has confirmed that he sent Gowdy to view the documents, and he hasn't seen them himself.

You want to reconsider your post? Seems like the shoe is on the other foot. Meaning -- Yours.

I may be dumb, but I rely on facts.
So, if you've got facts to refute me, let''s see them.
If you'd rather just say something insulting, have at it.

In case you didn't see it, look up Paul Ryan's comments at the GOP gathering in West Virginia. He said the memo does not impugn the FBI, The DOJ or the Mueller investigation. I think we can assume that the Republican House Speaker possesses all the facts. Is he wrong in thinking the Nunes memo is just .... meh ???

As the chairman of the HIC, member of the HPSCI, and one of the "Gang of Eight," Nunes has oversight above all 3 branches of government, unlimited subpoena powers, and yes, the right to demand any and all documents he'd like from all levels of government. The FBI and DOJ stalled for months on turning over all of the documentation he requested of them, until he set a deadline of January 3rd at the threat of bringing obstruction charges (which is another thing he can do) down on the stalling parties.

It is very well known that Nunes received the thousands and thousands of documents on January 3rd to view for himself. You should do some research, you'll find that it was pretty widely reported and Nunes even speaks about it in several interviews and public quotes.

I don't know where you people are getting this "Nunes hasn't even seen the documents he wrote the memo about hurrrr durrrrr!!" talking point from other than parroting other incorrect idiots, because the news (including the deflecting MSM) isn't even saying it and they'd be the first to do so. I think people took the letters sent to Nunes warning that the memo was dangerous without context due to the other members of the House of Reps not being able to view the source docs and somehow incorrectly twisted that into "Nunes can't even view the classified documents!"

After a full two days of spinning, the number of replies this supposed massive news got is as pathetic as the meme-o itself.

Nunes might have reviewed hundreds of documents, but he did not view the most important document-the FISA application itself.

Nunes sent Gowdy to view the FISA application. Gowdy took notes and then briefed the Republican members of the committee on what he saw.

I'm deployed and the little news I can watch, AFN is only showing commentary.

The application for the FISA warrant that McCabe admitted wouldnt have happened without the dossier? That one?

And? People keep calling it the nunes memo.

It is the work product of the HIC of which Gowdy is a member

The problem here is that if The President moves on any of these snakes, he gets charged with Obstruction of Justice. He's in a bind, but shining the light will eventually freeze things in place. It's a stalemate right now. New pieces will come on the board soon.
