They just keep your info and browsing history secure for you until the TOS are met for them to sell it.

Completely safe

After all the things the FireFox people said about Trump supporters this week, I will never use their crappy products again.

They want to do more than de-platform conservatives. Bye bye Firefox.

Get off of firefox/chrome and get on a browser like Brave.
Get off of google completely if possible, I just switched to ProtonMail from gmail, which is a Swiss based encrypted email service.

Only google service I can’t give up is YouTube.

Also there is tons of great VPNs out there, even set the VPN up on your phone.

Edit: my philosophy now is pay for privacy, don’t let companies make money off of my use of their apps/services.

They’ll do it as soon as they learned you voted for someone they opppse. Mozilla employees are the worst SJW types in tech. They were heavily involved in doxxing people in Cal over the gay marriage vote.

I'd sooner use a VPN from the NSA.

What is this Brave that you speak of?

Great suggestion. As long as someone can remember the password(s) encrypting device(s) and file(s) is always a smart choice.

That is why I pay for Nord VPN. I have no idea if it is a good one or not, but the IT ppl at my hospital recommended it if I was going to use my personal computer to access the hospital's EMR.

ETA: The parent company of the protonmail that you mentioned is the company that is providing the VPN service for Mozilla. LINK

Brave was actually founded by the JavaScript creator and former CEO of Mozilla (Firefox). It’s basically an open source browser that by default blocks ads and website trackers. Since it’s open source you can also confirm it’s not stealing data from you.

Yes, I actually use ProtonVPN( I would probably use NordVPN if I didn’t find proton), the fact that Mozilla uses them doesn’t change anything. I was just stating some privacy tips since I’ve been on a privacy kick lately. From what I’ve researched protonmail is the safest encrypted email service BESIDES having your own email server, which I’m not savvy enough to make yet.
