Given NYC, Id bet the doorman would fear being fired for dei if he stopped squatters. Or afraid he would take a couple to the head knowing the law would do nothing to protect him.

A lot of homes that have squatters in them in the metro Atlanta area are sitting waiting to go through probate and oftentimes the heirs live out of state and aren't there to monitor the property.
